Abstract:

Automotive electronic control systems simultaneously involve continuous dynamics, discrete-event logic, and electromechanical coupling, making it difficult for traditional scripts and single models to form a unified verification chain. To address this issue, a visual modeling and simulation platform based on MATLAB/Simulink was designed. The platform adopts a hierarchical structure consisting of a data parameter layer, a dynamic system layer, a logic control layer, and a physical object layer. Through standardized model interfaces, test inputs, and result outputs, mathematical models, Stateflow state logic, and Simscape multi-physical-domain models are organized within the same simulation workflow. Validation was conducted using a diesel engine glow plug control system and a DC motor as case studies. The former achieved state transitions including ignition, preheating, heating, shutdown, and intermittent heating, while the latter established an electromechanical physical network and obtained startup, steady-state, and power-off decay responses. Case results demonstrate that the proposed platform can intuitively present control states and dynamic responses, support the tracing of model structures, parameter settings, input conditions, and output results, and can be employed for preliminary analysis, experimental verification, and case reuse of automotive electronic control algorithms.
