Abstract:
Ethnic minority patterns constitute a visual symbol system that embodies ethnic history, folk beliefs, and aesthetic culture, featuring unique form semantics and spiritual cores. As a lightweight and personalized fashion carrier, nail art provides a new scenario for the contemporary revitalization of traditional ethnic patterns. This paper takes symbol translation as the core perspective, combining the translation logic of form, meaning, and context in semiotics, to sort out the current application status of ethnic minority patterns in nail art, analyze core issues such as superficial symbolization, semantic disconnection, insufficient adaptability, and severe homogenization in current design applications, and based on the size, material, and visual characteristics of nail art carriers, explore innovative translation paths for pattern symbol deconstruction and purification, semantic reconstruction, scene adaptation, and style integration. It proposes practical measures that fit the public aesthetic and adapt to industry applications, achieving effective transformation of ethnic minority cultural symbols from traditional folk carriers to modern fashion aesthetics, providing practical references for the lightweight innovative inheritance of ethnic intangible cultural heritage patterns and beauty and makeup cultural and creative design.
